My color shot did not come out as I had hoped, so I thought I would give B&W a try. It is certainly a different perspective of night photography. =)

I checked the larger version, which is a pretty strong shot.
This image was probably a great candidate for some of that HDR work that everyone's been talking about, given that there is an area in the foreground that's a bit blown out. Five seconds is a great place to start for a shutterspeed on night shots like this.
I love this because it is so diffrent! Most night shots of a city have the same look, but Hawaii just looks cool at night. Sweet.
WOW
WAY WAY COol... :) :)
Very nice.. that full sized image is so much better than the thumbnail. I like the b/w treatment here. Nicely done!
I love this shot of Ala Moana. I have to admit that I have never seen the street that deserted. It must have been taken pretty late at night. Technically, the photo is excellent, with a good range of tones from bright white to black. Well done.
I think this works nicely as a b&w. Well done. :)
A bit blown out here and there, but the general picture is lovely.
Worth a second try!
beautiful!
beautiful image, excellent in black and white! i love the juxtaposition of the tall buildings representing the city and the palm trees representing the island paradise. thank you for sharing this with us!
This is great. Havent tried the black and white approach on night shots.
