The Covington Family

Last month I had the pleasure of photographing the Covington Family who were visiting from the East Coast. Their two daughters were a joy to spend time with and smart as the "dickens" (look out MIT and Harvard!). These are a few of my favorites from the photo shoot.

Bon Odori

Last night I went to the bon dance held by the Manoa Koganji Temple with a group of friends - including "Kekiinani" (Renee). Sometimes the choice of songs was quite amusing (like "Elvira" by the Oak Ridge Boys), and it is not everyday that you see ladies dressed in a traditional Japanese kimono doing a line dance (!). Besides the bon dancing, they also had taiko drummers which was a special treat.
