Fireworks over the Rainbow
Every Friday night, the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki produces a brief fireworks display. I tried to get a few shots of the show last week but the photos did not come out as I had hoped. This week I went with fellow photographer, Kekiinani, and tried a different vantage point. I got much better results this time; Kekiinani also shot some spectacular photos so be sure to check her blog as well!

Hi Annie,
Thank you for visiting my PAW blog.
All of your images are stunning. The detail in this latest shot is amazing.
I've added you to my list of PADs and PAWs and look forward to seeing more of your work.
This one is awesome!!! :) :)
Glad I didnt put my red image up!!.. HA ha ha ha.. Love the detail that you captured in the rainbow tower.. :) :)
Another great shot! I could sit back and watch fireworks all night. I really like how the red reflects in the water. It's cold where I'm at, but, this helps warm things up.
I found your blog through Kekiinani's. You do Amazing work, I would frame all the ones I've seen!
Like the detail, framing, colours and overall composition on this one - oh yeah - the exposure too! Great shot in so many respects.
Fireworks are hard to shoot, but you got a good one. After awhile, the spoke from the previous fireworks starts to fog the shot. Well done.
Your color work is excellent. There is a wonderful clarity in this image, not only in the fireworks, but also in the surroundings. And the light on the water makes the composition superb. Well done.
This is THE best of all the fireworks shots I have ever seen! This is stunning!
Helpful hint, when referring to someone else's blog, you might want to add the link to your mssg.
I noticed Kekiinani is in the comments, but I still think it should be in the mssg as well.
thanks for the suggestion, t-mayer! I've created a link to Kekiinani's blog from this week's post; but you can also find her in the DPC Photo-A-Week list on the right side of the main page.
This is really, really, really striking! The red smoke is awesome. Great job. It's one of the best fireworks shots I've seen ever.
Great opportunity. Go there more often :D
